#bookfacefriday is a way for libraries to highlight a book they have to lend on social media. While many public and university libraries regularly post book faces on social media platforms, the Eaglebrook School library does NOT. Instead, the library holds an annual "Book Face Contest" during National Library Week (Last week of April each year). Students, teachers and staff are invited to have their "book face" taken and entered into the contest, and the Library Committee selects the best book face for each form, faculty and staff. It's not an easy task to line up a book cover with people and things in the real world to make it seamless, but it is a LOT of fun to try and create a good book face!
In this guide you will find examples of Eaglebrook's own book faces. If you are interested in seeing others versions of #bookfacefriday, follow the hashtag on Instagram. (PS: The Portland Public Library has some of the best!)
